Soil vapor extraction (SVE) is a vacuum extraction process which removes volatile and semi-volatile contaminants from the soil.

The efficiency depends on the following conditions:

  • Layer structure of the soil

In-situ chemical treatment with an oxidizing agent

The oxidation reaction converts chemically hazardous contaminants to non-hazardous or less toxic compounds that are more stable, less mobile, and/or inert. With a super oxidizing agent, the reaction can be really quick, just in a few hours. Wolftank Adisa’s in-situ chemical treatment is a two-agent technology where both chemicals are considered as non-dangerous.
